Who buys sofas wholesale, and what actually varies

The wholesale sofa trade covers very different buyers with very different requirements. Knowing which segment you're in changes what you should be asking a manufacturer before you order.

Who's buying

  • Independent furniture stores and regional chains restocking a showroom floor
  • E-commerce furniture brands building or refreshing a private-label catalogue
  • Interior designers and fit-out contractors sourcing for a specific project
  • Hotels, serviced apartments and short-let operators replacing lounge and room seating
  • Care homes, waiting rooms and other collectivities with public-safety requirements

What actually varies between suppliers

Structure ranges from particleboard in entry-level ranges to pine or multi-ply frames in mid-range and solid beech in premium lines. Foam density, usually printed in kg/m³ on a proper technical sheet, predicts how a seat cushion holds up over years far better than how firm it feels in a showroom.

Fabric abrasion is measured by the Martindale test: a domestic-grade fabric typically clears 10,000 to 20,000 rub cycles, a contract-grade fabric for hotels or high-footfall retail is usually rated well above 30,000. For anything delivered into a hotel, waiting room or other public setting, fire-test documentation (EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2 in most of Europe) is not optional, it's a compliance question you should raise before ordering, not after delivery.

Why work with us

We're a sourcing layer, not another catalogue

We don't hold stock and we don't mark up the manufacturer's price. What we do is narrow the field to manufacturers who actually fit your order, before you spend time on calls that go nowhere.

01

Network across Europe

Requests are matched against manufacturing regions in several countries, not a single local shortlist, so a request that doesn't fit one market can still fit another.

02

Documentation checked first

Foam density, fabric rub-test results and fire-test reports are requested before a manufacturer is added to our network, not after you've already placed an order.

03

Direct contract, no markup

Pricing, samples and shipping terms are negotiated between you and the manufacturer. We don't sit in the invoice chain.

04

Requests handled in eight languages

The intake form and follow-up are handled in the language you submitted in, across English, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, German, Dutch and Hungarian.

Product ranges

Six sofa families cover most reseller requests

Filter by type, material or buyer segment to narrow the list. Exact pricing, minimum order and lead time depend on the manufacturer and your specification, confirmed once we've made an introduction.

Type

Buyer segment

Fixed fabric sofa in a light retail-style living room setting
FixedFabric

Fixed 2 & 3-seat, fabric

The core of most reseller catalogues. Frame material and foam density vary by manufacturer tier, ask for the technical sheet before you order rather than judging firmness on a showroom sample.

Grey corner and modular sofa in a cosy living room
CornerModular

Corner & modular sofas

Reconfigurable modules aimed at online furniture brands and larger-format retail. Check whether the frame is a single unit or bolt-together modules, it changes both delivery cost and return rate.

MOQ and price confirmed at quote
Compact grey sofa bed in a small apartment-style room
Sofa bedFabric

Sofa beds & convertibles

Sized for serviced apartments, small-format retail and short-let operators. Mechanism quality (the fold-out frame, not the upholstery) is the main durability variable, ask what it's rated for in cycles.

Tan leather sofa in a bright living room
FixedLeather

Leather & faux-leather sofas

A premium segment with a higher retail ticket and generally tighter margins than fabric, driven by more direct competition on comparable leather. Ask specifically whether a hide is full-grain, split or coated PU.

Dark contract-grade sofas in a modern hotel lounge
ContractHospitality

Contract-grade hospitality sofas

Built for hotel lobbies, waiting rooms and other high-footfall public settings. Fire-test documentation (EN 1021-1/2 in most of Europe) and a high Martindale rating are non-negotiable here, not optional extras.

How it works

Four steps from request to introduction

1

You tell us what you need

Product type, material, rough volume, target country and timeline, through the form below.

2

We match a manufacturer

Against certification, minimum order and delivery region, from our network across Europe.

3

You deal directly

Pricing, samples and contract terms are agreed between you and the manufacturer, not through us.

4

We stay reachable

If the first match isn't right, tell us and we route the request again.

On minimum order quantities In-stock fabric ranges commonly start around 20 to 50 units per reference. Made-to-order runs, custom dimensions or your own branding usually carry a higher minimum, and full-container import orders are a different scale again. The manufacturer we connect you with confirms the exact figure for your specification, we don't fix a single number here because it genuinely depends on the product.
Questions

Frequently asked questions

What's the minimum order quantity for wholesale sofas?

It depends on the manufacturer and the product. In-stock fabric ranges commonly start around 20 to 50 units per reference; made-to-order runs, custom dimensions or your own branding usually push that higher. Tell us your target volume in the form below and we route your request to a manufacturer whose minimum fits it.

Do you manufacture the sofas yourselves?

No. We review manufacturers on their certification and fabric testing, then connect qualified buyers with them directly. Pricing, samples, contracts and shipping are agreed between you and the manufacturer, not through us.

How do you check a manufacturer before connecting us?

We ask for foam density figures, the fabric's Martindale abrasion rating, and fire-test documentation where the destination is a hospitality or public setting. Where possible we also check a physical sample ourselves before adding a manufacturer to our network.

Can we get custom fabric, dimensions or our own branding?

Many manufacturers in our network offer custom fabric runs, made-to-measure dimensions or private labelling. Mention it in your request and we'll only route you to one that can do it at your volume.

Is there a cost to submit a request through this page?

No. There's no fee to submit an inquiry or to be connected with a manufacturer.

Do manufacturers ship across the EU and beyond?

Some do, some ship only domestically or within one region. Tell us your delivery country in the form and we account for it before routing your request.

Can we get a sample before committing to a full order?

Most manufacturers can send a fabric swatch or a single unit before you commit to a production run. Ask for one once we've made the introduction, and check the density and stitching yourself before signing off on volume.

What certifications should we ask for?

For general retail, ask for the foam density in kg/m³ and the fabric's Martindale rating. For hotels, waiting rooms or any establishment open to the public, ask specifically for fire-test reports (EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2 cover cigarette and match-flame resistance in most of Europe) before you order.

What happens after we submit the form?

A person reads every request. If we have a manufacturer that fits your product, volume, timeline and country, we make the introduction directly by email.

How long does sourcing usually take?

Matching you with a manufacturer typically takes a few days. The order itself runs longer: in-stock ranges from European stock move fastest, made-to-order and imported containers add several more weeks. Starting earlier gives you more manufacturers to choose from.

Do you work with independent stores, not just large retail chains?

Yes. We route requests from single-store furniture retailers, online furniture brands, interior designers and hospitality buyers the same way we do larger accounts, matched by volume and certification needs rather than company size.

Can you help with a specific country or region?

Tell us your country in the message field. Our network spans several European manufacturing regions, and we account for delivery distance and import rules when we match your request.

Tell us what you're sourcing

Give us the product type, rough volume and your country. We'll come back with a manufacturer match, or tell you honestly if it's outside what our network currently covers.
